I received my Master's of Arts in Counseling with an additional focus in School Counseling and Play Therapy from UNC-Charlotte. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in the State of North Carolina (#A19898) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (#834207). I have worked as a Professional Elementary School Counselor for the past 7 years in the NC Public School System where I help children and families navigate various situations and circumstances. Prior to becoming a Professional School Counselor, I was a Division 1 Softball Athlete for 4 years, followed by a Division 1 Assistant Softball Coach for 6 years. Athletic performance and athlete mental clarity is a high interest area of mine. I also enjoy working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. As a clinician I help support my clients by giving them the space to explore their thoughts and emotions, understand their core values, and develop mental skills for their personal growth and personal athletic performance. I have experiences working with individuals dealing with Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Trauma, Grief/Loss, Self-Esteem, School Issues, Adjustment Difficulty, Children dealing with Divorce/Separation, Goal Setting, Athletic Performance Anxiety, Parent/Child Relationships, and also Coach/Athlete Relationships.

As a Clinician, I counsel from a Person-Centered Approach utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Theory (CBT) and Solution-Focused Theory. When working with young children, my practice also draws from Person-Centered Play Therapy. While practicing from Person-Centered Theory, I seek to create a safe, empathetic and judgment free zone that is accepting and genuine. I believe that every one of my clients has an inherent capacity for growth. I understand that all my clients come from diverse backgrounds, with diverse needs and they need a space to be vulnerable. I see clients in person at our Harrisburg office.
